We’ve arrived!  The team made it safely to Ecuador!  We gathered together after flights from across the USA and Canada.  The team spent a night together building connections over dinner in Guayaquil  The next morning we boarded a bus and made the 5 hour journey to Guaranda.  What a beautiful city!  Surrounded by mountains, the landscape is a city built along the hillsides of the foothills of the western Andes.

After a long bus journey, the team quickly unloaded all the supplies and set up the rooms for triage.  25 patients and their families were ready to meet our team!  One by one the team took time and care to understand each patient’s needs, history, and current medical status.  The kids had fun with gifts of new socks, coloring, and playing with new toys.  The day was successful making a plan for the week to take care of our patients!
