Recently we celebrated a very special milestone: the 80th birthday of Anita Stangl, Alliance for Smiles co-founder, special advisor, and long-time beloved leader.

Anita has dedicated her life to giving children around the world the life-changing gift of free cleft lip and palate surgeries. For her 80th birthday, she has just one wish: to fund even more surgeries and transform even more young lives, this time in India.

In Anita’s own words:

As I approach my 80th birthday I reflect on the incredible journey and opportunities life has offered me. And I would be honored if you – my dearest friends and supporters – would join me in celebrating this special milestone.

In lieu of presents, I would like nothing more than to give children with cleft lips and palates the gift of a smile and to open up life’s incredible opportunities and possibilities for them.
