In February 2025, Alliance for Smiles held its first mission in Sohag, Egypt. Our teams of medical volunteers performed free, life-changing cleft lip and palate surgeries on 13 patients, while our dental team performed 90 dental procedures, all amounting to over $64,000. Keeping with AfS’ shift in focus from maximizing cases to building capacity, our amazing volunteers provided lecture-based education and knowledge sharing in Sohag for local medical teams, engaging over 200 physicians, nurses and students.
