I was born in Taiwan and emigrated to Canada when I was 17 years old. I went to medical school at the University of Toronto. I completed my residency in anesthesiology at Stanford University.

I was attracted to AFS because of the cause they foster and the good work they do. I also particularly enjoy the congeniality and camaraderie among the mission team members. It gives me great gratification to see that a two hour operation can change a child’s life forever.

In my spare time, I do a lot of ballroom dancing with my wife and travel with our friends across the world.
